It's a glamorous career, but one that is notoriously difficult to enter. That's why the Sharjah Bridal Fair has launched the 'Young Fashion Awards 2016', which will be held at the Al Jawaher reception and convention centre from May 19 to 22. The awards, which are open to female Emiratis or UAE residents under 25 years of age, aim to recognise young designers' inventiveness in the categories of Emerging Fashion Designer (Women's Ready-to-Wear), Wedding Abayas, and Kaftans or Dresses Collection. In addition to the fashion awards, male and female UAE residents of all nationalities can take part in the `Best Prototype Wedding App or Website' competition. Applicants must complete all the requirements listed on the online application form found on www.shjbridalfair.com and submit it via email to maitha.h@JRCC.ae by April 3o.
