Al Jawaher reception and convention centre (JRCC), Sharjah, entered 13 chefs into the Salon Culinaire this year and seven emerged victorious, with two receiving gold medals. Hanan Al Mahmoud, director of JRCC, said "Under the direction of J RCC's executive chef Rami Al Jebraiel, we are extremely proud that our culinary team's expertise has once more been recognised with many awards. The achievement is appreciated more due to our chefs being kept busy with our awn events and exhibitions running concurrently at JRCC." Commenting the level of competition this year, Al Jebraiel added "The panel of 30 judges really raised the standard for entries this year by demanding more from the competitors, so to be able to walk away with a total of seven awards and two gold medals, in particular it provides us with immense pride and satisfaction."
