Further to the various accomplishments achieved over the past three years by Al Jawaher reception and convention centre (JRCC), Sharjah’s premium location for events and exhibitions, JRCC attracted more than 2,700 guests during the Holy Month of Ramadan, with guests enjoying Iftar and Suhoor meals in its annual “Kahraman” Majlis. The Majlis hosted around 35 collective Iftar or Suhoor events organised by government institutions and private companies in the emirate of Sharjah, as well as tables for individuals and families. Guests showed great interest in the unique services provided by the centre, and particularly enjoyed the decadent spread of local, Arab and international dishes prepared by a select group of award-winning chefs. The most prominent institutions and companies JRCC hosted in its Kahraman Majlis this year include: Sharjah Asset Management, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Airport Free Zone (SAIF Zone), Sharjah Cooperative Society, UAE Businesswomen Council, Ali Omran Al Owais Group, Falcon Pack and OWS Auto Parts. Speaking on the Majlis, Hanan Al Mahmoud, Director of JRCC, said: “The Kahraman Majlis has achieved increasing success over the course of this year thanks to its outstanding hospitality services presented in a warm Ramadan atmosphere, which brings together colleagues, friends and families. “We hosted a number of busy events and forums this festive season, and are happy with the role we play in strengthening social ties within the community.” Al Mahmoud proudly added that JRCC had successfully organised and hosted 1,000 social and corporate events since its opening in 2013 until the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. This year’s Ramadan events were attended by many official personalities and VIPs from UAE society, mainly: Sheikh Khalid Sultan Al Qasimi; Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Thani, Director of the Department of Civil Aviation; Engineer Yusuf Saleh Al-Suwaiji, Head of Roads and Transport Authority of Sharjah (RTAS); Ameera Bin Karam, Chairperson of the Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC); Counsellor Hala Kazim; Asma Lootah, Founder of the Hundred Wellness Centre in Dubai; Anas Bukhash, the Managing Partner of Ahdaaf Sports Club; and Muna Harib Al Muhairi, Director of Branding and Communications at Dubai Parks and Resorts. The Kahraman Majlis was founded three years ago and comprises a fitted venue for Iftar and Suhoor gatherings with a seating capacity of more than 300 guests. This includes four stylishly designed private Majlises, each with a capacity of 30 guests, and two private dining majlises, each with a capacity of 20 guests. In addition to the main seating venue, Ramadan Kahraman Majlis consists of ablution (wudu) facilities and prayer rooms for ladies and gentlemen and free Wi-Fi connection. As for entertainment, guests had the opportunity to listen to live Arabic oud music and watch their favourite programmes on the screens distributed around the Majlis. For the first time, JRCC introduced “Iftar boxes” during the Holy Month, which contained healthy Iftar meals at low prices for establishments and companies, and were distributed as Iftar meals to those in need. The JRCC was established in 2013 to be an ideal destination and model of modern luxury of modern luxury to cater to all kinds of local and international events. Stretching over an area of 5,500 square metres, it is the largest fully furnished luxury hall in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, and includes a number of exclusive internal halls for events and hospitality facilities.
